Who's up for some ska? The NYC soulful skankers Be Decent have a new LP in the queue, and they've caught my interest by featuring Ted Leo on the lead single.
Be Decent bring together ska veterans Matt Mason (The Pietasters, Bad Manners, Uzimon) on tenor and baritone saxes, Jimmy Doyle (The Fad, The Forthrights) on lead vocals and guitar, Geoff Bickford (Jimmie Scooter) on drums, and Ken Partridge (author of Hell Of A Hat: The Rise Of ’90s Ska And Swing) on bass. Their new album Now's The Time is dropping in September, preceded today by "Human Nature." It features the vocals of punk legend Ted Leo, who finally figured out where all the rude boys have gone.
