Martin Garrix Brings Out The Edge To Debut Latest U2 Collab “Fireflies” At Tomorrowland

Last week, U2 released their new song "Street Of Dreams," which was first teased in May with a music video shoot in the streets of Mexico City. On Friday (July 17), the Edge joined Dutch DJ Martin Garrix onstage at Antwerp's Tomorrowland festival to debut a new collab called "Fireflies."

"Fireflies," which is not an Owl City cover, will be released on Friday, July 24, and the credits have U2 listed as performers. (A version of the track with Matisse & Sadko and BARBZ was released last year.) The EDM musician previously worked with Bono and the Edge on "We Are The People," the official theme song for the 2021 UEFA European Football Championship. He also co-produced U2's “Your Song Saved My Life” (from Sing 2) and enlisted Bono to write lyrics for three singles last year, "Angels For Each Other," Weightless," and "Catharina." Garrix has been teasing a new album for later this year.
