Cat Power and Olivier Alary have collaborated on a lugubrious piece of orchestral folk for the new Ensemble single (Chan co-wrote and provides vocals). It's called "Disown, Delete," and if you come by the CD single, pick it up as there are two even more beautiful songs on it (plus a "Disown" remix by Tim Hecker). Ensemble's full length FatCat debut is out 9/19 and features a cameo by Lou Barlow too.
Oh, and Chan's sober. She made sure to mention it at the end of her Bonnaroo set.
