Dan Snaith's immediate jam "Odessa" bounces by on dank techno whoomps, bass bubbling as if submerged in liquid, so L.A. duo Nite Jewel shift the orientation some on this remix with guitars and hand percussion that shimmer off the water's surface. The girls step in with some new harmonies, smeary synth, and new beats, too, giving a new spin to the lyrics' yearning. City Slang is releasing the track as part of a Europe-only Caribou 12", but it's here in MP3 for if you're interested.
