Longstanding Chicago garage crew Ponys are set to release the Deathbed Plus 4 EP, their first collection since 2007's Turn Out The Lights. Our introduction is the surprisingly seductive "Check The Doors." Surprising because at first blush it seemed a bit thin, but then the slow, airy, downcast pace made me think of Joy Division for a second, the Misfits on halfspeed another, repeat. Worthy the fuck-you ghost on the cover.
Deathbed Plus 4 is out digitally 4/20 and on 12" vinyl 5/25 via Matador. They're hitting the road, occasionally with the excellent Austin trio Woven Bones.
