As hinted in yesterday's Wavves evaluation, Best Coast's debut full-length Crazy For You could easily be retitled Queen Of The Beach. If you've listened to "Our Deal" (or bonus track "When I'm With You"), you know this. Across these 13 tracks -- recorded ably by Fool's Gold/Foreign Born's Lewis Pesacov -- Bethany Cosentino (aka Jenny Lewis with a sonic aesthetic I find more appealing, sorry) and Bobb Bruno go for a hazy, lovesick, coolly aloof fuzz-pop walk in the sand. Catch a mid-tempo breeze with opener "Boyfriend": There's something about the summer, etc.
