"Hold" is the a-side to a forthcoming tour 7" (b/w "Sick") by Portland's languid, lush ambient bedroom auteur Liz Harris aka Grouper. "Hold" comes a year after "Hold The Way," in tandem suggesting a certain fixation on grasping, or at least securing, an interesting verbal note for music so fluid, and difficult to pin down. For its part, "Hold" sounds like a whirl through Arthur Russell's cello-lined world of echo after a little too much Robitussin DM. Which, it turns out, is a lovely thing.
