Today's the day! The twelfth installment of the music series for the kids, by the Kidz, is ready to be streamed and/or purchased for $18.98. And per usual, you really shouldn't be buying this for anyone...
Your tracklist:
"Girlfriend" (Avril Lavigne)
"The Sweet Escape" (Gwen Stefani Feat. Akon)
"It's Not Over" (Daughtry)
"Say It Right" (Nellie Furtado)
"Never Again" (Kelly Clarkson)
"What Goes Around ... Comes Around" (Justin Timberlake)
"Umbrella" (Rihanna)
"Cupid's Chokehold" (Gym Class Heroes)
"Glamorous" (Fergie)
"If Everyone Cared" (Nickelback)
"Beautiful Liar" (Beyoncé and Shakira)
"How To Save A Life" (The Fray)
"Makes Me Wonder" (Maroon 5)
"Don't Matter" (Akon)
"Boston" (Augustana)
"With Love" (Hillary Duff)
"Ice Box" (Omarion)
"Home" (Daughtry)
That first track sounds suspiciously like the Rubinoos. And curiously, they replace "motherfucking princess" with "hey hey princess." But no need to replace "Funny thing about that is / I was ready to give you my name" on "What Goes Around..." 'cause minimum age requirements for marriage is so last century, grandpa. Too bad there isnt' more indie (remember Franz? MMouse?), but awesome to see the double love for stand-up Senegalese role-model Akon; sing along, children! But don't try to sing along to Luda's "take yo' broke ass home" lyric in "Glamorous"; that whole verse went the way of the motherfucking princess. Listen at kidzbop.com. Do it for the little ones.
And of course, no such post is complete without Kidz Bop's greatest moment: the "Since You Been Gone" kid.
