It's nearly impossible not to think about recently deceased TV On The Radio bassist Gerard Smith when watching the band's performance of Nine Types Of Light's "Will Do" on Leno. Even if you can block that out, it definitely feels more introspective than the show they put on (sans Smith) for Letterman. Here goes:
