New Jim O’Rouke LP Coming

The noise wrangler and sometime pop balladeer who brought Wilco and Sonic Youth to new creative peaks before decamping to Japan returns to song-based solo material with Visitors (Drag City, 9/8). Last year he promised "pretty much everyone is going to be disappointed" by it. Unlikely. (Via P4K.)
