The new video for the Red Hot Chili Peppers track "Monarchy Of Roses" is a chopped-up, animated, mostly black-and-white affair, in which the Chili Peppers inhabit environments taken directly from the drawings of a particular artist, the great Black Flag-affiliated pen-and-ink brutalist Raymond Pettibon. Marc Klasfeld directed the video, but it's credited as being "inspired by the work of" Pettibon. I hope that means they broke him off with some paper, though I guess Raymond Pettibon isn't exactly hurting for money. Watch the clip below.
