Wilco will bring their Solid Sound festival back to MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA this summer. Taking place June 26-28, the event will feature sets from both Wilco and Jeff Tweedy and a previously announced collaboration with Billy Bragg performing their collaborative Mermaid Avenue material. Other Wilco members' bands the Autumn Defense and Nels Cline’s Consentrik Quartet will play, and Mikael Jorgensen will screen his new film abou Bob James with a Q&A.
As for non-Wilco inclusions, they are bountiful. The Breeders will be there, as will Gang Of Four, who just wrapped up their farewell tour but "are still planning - on occasion - to play a small run of select shows or a one-off event in the future." There are quite a few Stereogum favorites as you work your way down the bill, including Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band, Sharp Pins, Living Hour, Prewn, S.G. Goodman, L'Rain, Hannah Cohen, Rich(ard) Dawson, the Messthetics and James Brandon Lewis, and more. John Hodgman’s Comedy Cabaret will include Jo Firestone, Demi Adejuyigbe, and Jordan Klepper.
