This probably means that I know nothing but I’ve liked them since the beginning and I still really like this song. I’m so uncool that I still like them when they’re popular. Does this mean I agree with everyone or no-one?
People should bear in mind that Clash is the same publication that promised completely favourable reviews and increased coverage to any labels or PR companies that would pay for them to go to SxSW. And they did go to SxSW. Makes the list hard to take seriously. Or should I say, makes the list even harder to take seriously
Does it really matter if Win is a pompous prick or if Wayne Coyne is attention seeking? What should really matter is their music. I love the Lips and quite like some early Arcade Fire and neither of those things have anything to do with who they are as people. You wouldn’t buy someone’s record because you hate the music but think they’re a really nice person. If personality really mattered, nobody would ever listen to Bob Dylan.
You don’t have fish in a well numbnuts
Darcy. She is indeed both hot and a chick. Good call. I love me some Bishop Allen
I love Bruce. I really really do but this is worse than awful, it’s bland and uninspired and feels like the kind of thing John ‘Cougar’ Mellencamp made a career out of. And that is unforgivable. As an aside, I’ve noticed that there is a direct link between Bruce’s dodgy facial hair and dress sense and his churning out of bad music. Check out the happy trail on his chin and then look at the cover of Human Touch. However, good Serpico beard = Born To Run. Mussed up hair and cool leather jacket = darkness. Ponytail = Bruce fucking around with synthesizers. Oh and this might be bad but have you guys heard Mary Queen of Arkansas? Magic, as an album, was pretty poop. Someone needs to get him the fuck away from Brendan O’Brien and into bed with Rick Rubin. He’s the only one who can save this sorry mess

Amen to that. Pela were awesome. The last I heard they were working on the next one in Dumbo. Very, very, very gutted that they are no more. I’m going to listen to Tenement Teeth repeatedly in their honour.
