aye, a harsh first world problem to be sure
If anyone's as interested in this stuff as I am, the ratings for last night were as follows: Community 3.99 million P & R 4.1 million Office 7.6 million Whitney 6.7 million Source: http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/09/tv-ratings-x-factor-holds-charlies-angels-off-to-modest-start.html
The Office is stale and weak and not as good as the others BUT it still gets some of the biggest lulz from me every week.
I'm mostly with ya Molly. I really liked the episode, still my fave show, but those two gags weren't great. Haha british TV is different. AND its Abed, how wouldn't he know about those shows, especially Inspector Spacetime since its been on since 1963!!?? However, I LOVED how Jeff was the villain. Compare that to series premiere two years ago, what other show would do that.
haha yes! respect for Jerry finally!!!
"That's just a fucking taste Morrison"
CW is so gross and immature! This can't be worse than H8R however.
Martin Scorsese, because, Martin Scorsese
hey guys let's open with our best track: the montage
Gabe you are good at writing things in a way that justifies our selfish existence, while being politically correct, while being sensitive to the less fortunate, while also pointing out the semi-sadistic nature of the modern world. All at the same time. its a very admirable skill, no joke, and you implement it quite a lot, and I like.

How's your mother? Oh, she's on her way out. We all are, act accordingly.

I'm so glad they squeezed in an explosion at the very end of the trailer. It wound't be an American trailer without an explosion. Also he's not looking at it. #coolguysdon'tlookatexplosions
My fave line was ron's: "it's art, anything is anything."
I agree this season of the office is as good as it's been in years. As I watch the Thursday sitcoms I find myself laughing at the office probably more than all the other shows. It's not a better show than our other fav NBC shows, but for the most part they are bringing the laughs. That was this episode for me, it was hilarious and just don't think too much about the logistics.
I agree friend I think they poked enough fun at the documentary / mockumentary form to make it work. However, the Troy thing was too much for me and the my least favorite part of the episode. It was weak and overdone like some of the worst moments of Tracy Jenna and Kenneth IMO.
So this is what Mccaulay Culkin is doing now?
HuLu is intending on posting the commentaries etc. Good news I guess! I don't really know, as a Canadian all hulu is is a black box.
True grit: it's a straight western. No really.
I saw it now. It was really good!
Good list, very critical.
I'm with you DSN. It wasn't very good as Community episodes go. I liked how it was very character driven, and I don't think you would like it if you didn't know Abed and the others. And I liked the ending, where christmas has different personal meanings for everyone, which is SO true. But the gags were kind of lame and it all felt too contrived with the constant repetition of how this is all just in Abed's head. A lot of people said the live 30 Rock episode took away everything they love about 30 Rock, and I sorta feel that way about this community. Add me to the Debbie Downer list.
Must resist the impulse to read. Doesn't open until the 22nd here. Resist Bill.... Resist.

It is my sister's birthday, and she actually is turning 18, which in the land of Canada is that rite of passage where we are obligated to take her out, argue what her first drink should be, as I stealthily remove unflattering polaroids of me from the wall. Neat. Happy birthday ya'll!
That's Tilda Swinton in Narnia
Ah yes, I was waiting for this.
