Akron/Family – ST II…
That band doesn’t get enough press ever, and i’m sure this album is going to be awesome.

Also, i know nobody likes them, but i’m looking forward to Trail of Dead’s album in the new year as well.

There isn’t one song on this album i don’t like. It infuses everything they’ve done thus far in a weirdly cohesive way. The album slows down when you want it to, and when you start thinking its too quiet and acoustic it kicks your ass just in time. It’s perfect. The last two songs are perfect and sum up the feeling of their career to this point.

except this new album is sans guitar player with ponytail, which is a good move, aesthetically.

i fucking love this band. I think this album should be a contender with both Grizzly Bear and Animal Collective, but i know it won’t. I also considered Love is Simple to be my favourite album of 2007, but nobody recognized that one either. I don’t get it. This band is unbelievable.

I don’t get why people are complaining. It’s obvious an interesting topic of discussion. Obviously everyone seems to have something to say about Green Day that they want heard. This sounds like a lot of people like Green Day way more than they’d like to admit. Fuck you hipster culture.

I used to love Green Day. I was hoping this album would be some kind of progression out of American Idiot shit. I thought maybe all the grand shit was part of Billy Joe’s cryptic plan, to maybe turn into something else. I guess i gave them too much credit. This shit is gonna get old. If they keep doing this kind of stuff they’ll seem like old guys with no attention span for songwriting anymore. I wanted to hear some decent solid songs again, and not chopped up american idiot shit balls.

Is there any known mp3′s of the entire show out there yet? Please god please.

Music is the most overrated organized sound of the year.

I don’t think either is better. They both use completely different craft. They are both unbelievable at what they do. Yay for moderation.
