…and in 3D
We’re not done yet with these list thing? I thought we’ve culminated with Rolling Stones? P4K is so anti-climatic. Well, we still have a week or so for some music site to submit their yearend’s best or worse.
Really P4K? You expect us to believe that you actually liked Taylor Swift, The Gaga, or Lily Allen over say, Radiohead’s Harry Partch or the Horrors’,Bob Dylan’s, Jarvis Cocker”s 2009 releases? Two Girls song deserved 2 spots over, say, Morrissey? Charlotte’s Gainsbourg’s IRM over Heaven Can Wait. Not even released in the States yet. Bah! BAH!
Somewhere band x or singer X is just happy not to be included in P4K Best of.
Wtf! I actually teared up at the Oasis and Oxford Collapse part. Seriously.
Nah! Oasis will be back next year, just like the Verve.
I nominate Fiery Furnace – Radiohead+Beck as 2009′s Lol-iest Indie Rock Feud. Radiohead nor Beck may not be even aware of Matt’s call-out, but hey.
I thought Radiohead fans would ignore Matt’s diss and move along. After all, it’s not a personal attack. Thanks to them they managed to make the indie Carpenters relevant and interesting. They’ve become familiar now that I can even spell Matthew Friedberger’s surname without copy-pasting it.
Sasha Grey!!! Hell Yeah!
Hey Stereogum, since you’ve practically become a List depot, let’s have the best and worst of “Best of” list of 2009/decade. I nominate Q’s 2009 list as worst evah!
It only means that Radiohead fans are the new ICP fans.lol. If it’s popularity that we are talking about then I agree with the RS readers. The musicians / critics ballots are fun to read, though. They didn’t choose their own albums/songs.lol. Surprising choices from Lars Ulrich, Jarvis Cocker, Pete Wentz.
Not bad. Maybe a list that I can finally agree with, never mind the rankings, but not bad.
What’s with the Brits? First a guy punches a seemingly gentle Leona Lewis at a book signing, now this?
The list is pretty decent except for a few albums that made the cut, I can agree with them. But they should also let us know their criteria or methods for choosing the albums. Otherwise this is just a pretentious listing, trying to push the careers of lesser known artists. I’m not gonna sneer Steve Martin’s banjo album. It’s actually good, but it’s nothing special either. It’s really more of a novelty album. So far the only list that i find fun and natural is the Aquarium Drunkard’s best of the decade. It’s not even a best of list nor is it done yet. It’s devoid of pretentiousness and you won’t feel that the editors are being pushy or critical of other albums they don’t like. Even in the commentaries, you won’t find snarky ones rather posters are appreciative of discovering albums they missed out or ignored and give another listen to albums they thought was crap.
Huzzah! Christmas comes early for lonely housewives, thinking ladies and the Idolator, Brooklyn Vegan and NME staff. New Prof. Jarvis video with murderous office equipment.
Follow that direction Jarvis, not the disappointing Angela clip. That Angela video made you look like a washed-up rockstar or a busker who accepts money from onlookers.
Btw, it’s time to rethink your decision to not reform Pulp. You have to act fast Jarvis before the remaining fringes disappear completely.
Love the smile at the end.
I used to say that Weezer…….nah forget it, anything I will say, favorable or unfavorable has been said by everyone.
Going solo? Well, Liam Gallagher is looking for someone to replace his brother Noel, Kele might be interested.

I’m still going to buy that no matter what, even if Justin Beiber is in there but why Vince Vaughn?
