If you can’t even recognize the fact that Arcade Fire are incredible musicians, regardless of whether or not their music is cool enough for you, then you are ignorant. They work hard, a hell of a lot harder than most popular artists right now.
Is this really good exposure though?
How many people will actually decide for themsleves that they like these bands after first learning about them from this soundtrack?

Would most poeple pay $50 for a plain t-shirt if it didn’t have American Apparel’s tag on it?
I read the Twilight Saga. It was an interesting read, but not worthy of all the fuss it’s gained.
Yes, it’s awesome that these bands are getting exposure.
But unfortuantely, this isn’t long term gain. They won’t really be winning over the “kids”.
It’ll just earn them this one quick buck.
