“anough”?

I enjoyed this. I’d say Panda and Avey may have to swap, being that Avey is more of the outspoken “frontman” a lot of the time and Panda seems kinda shy. Geologist would never wear a grimy moomoo dress to every show…although, he may perform vacuum solos. Actually, this comparison doesn’t line up well altogether, as I think about it more…the four guys from one or just too different from the four other guys.Maybe:

Panda = Page
Avey = Trey
Deakin = Trey
Geologist = Kuroda

I don’t think anough AnCo fans even realize how long associated they’ve been with the jam band scene…I’m by no means a jam guy anymore (although i used to love phish and have seen them a ton of times…they still have plenty of old songs that hit me in special ways). I first read about AnCo in Reliz magazine.

I’ve been a huge Radiohead lover since The Bends and I’ll never stop thinking that Hail to the Thief is one of their worst efforts (with the exception of a few tunes including Mixomatosis and 2 + 2 = 5, which is one of the most powerful album openers).

I like Beach House but I think they’re really overhyped. They may not sound exactly like other bands right now but they sound like “homogenized pre-now”, if that makes any sense;

it’s like all that is safe, enjoyable (but not necessarily special or original), and easily accessible from the pitchfork-approved list of the past 5 years thrown into a cute little reverbed-out duo using simple guitar and synth lines. They’re the American Apparel of current indie music and I bet their next effort(s) will be totally forgettable.

The Black Keys
fun.
MGMT
Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros
The Airborne Toxic Event

The above bands are about as “hipster” as an Axe body spraying, Bud Light drinking, Goldman Sachs employee going to church in a Lincon Naivigator before voting republican in time to watch the Kardashians show with his secretly gay son who’s scared dad will kill him with his gun collection if he finds out.

Don’t worry, Anna…it’s not you. Jordy’s pretty notorious for posting ignorant broad stroke bullshit on this site. She’s kinda dumb.
