Today I found out Pepper Rabbit is breaking up. That’s another band you should add to the list. They made some great music & had a good live show.
You forgot to mention Dear And The Headlights. I was very sad when they said that they were officially breaking up this year. They made such great music & had great live shows.
Satanic Panic In The Attic. I would love to win this because I have Walkman & a cassette player that still work to play these on.
I would use it to see if an actually neon indian popped out of it & started talking to me.
Hmm this is tough to believe even though I really like Wayne & Flaming LIps but am also a big fan of Arcade Fire. It’s tough to believe because I met & talked & even danced with Arcade Fire in 2007 at a meet & greet after their show & they couldn’t have been nicer to me & all their fans & their crew. I think Wayne took their being a little too serious for being rude.
I’m glad Foster The People won even though I like all the tracks on this list. I saw them live & met them & talked to them for a while in June. They are a great & talented & nice bunch of guys that just want to make the music they want so give them a break. That’s fine if you don’t like their music but just don’t call them bandwagon jumpers like someone above did. Also just because they whistle in their song doesn’t mean it’s like Young Folks. I’ve talked to some people who compare almost every song that whistles to Young Folks. I wonder if there would be this many negative comments about Foster The People if they weren’t popular.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs- Cheated Hearts
Tv On The Radio- Wolf Like Me
Health- Before Tigers
Hundred In The Hands- Dressed In Dresden
Show Me Love & Konichiwa Bitches. I love Robyn & would love to see her live!
Right now I’m going to say Pumped Up Kicks by Foster The People. That song is so good & just has that great summer vibe to it.
Beirut- Elephant Gun
I saw this movie at Sundance this year. It’s hilarious! I was also surprised with how many celebrities show up in this.
