Bolder, punchier, and more reflective of her live performance. If I wasn’t already stoked for a new St. Vincent album, consider me double stoked.
Obsidian is in my top 5. I hear ya, man.
Besides some obvious skip-able songs, Artpop is pretty good. I don’t see why it’s getting panned, when it is certainly better than the shit show that was Born This Way. Do you REMEMBER how dumb that album art was?
Shit reads like a P!ATD song title. Just sayin’.
This is obviously satirical, so it’s more of a social comment on others artists who are guilty of cultural appreciation. Why does she have to explain herself in any way, then?
Greta Gerwig was great in Frances Ha. <3
I have a feeling this is going to be AM!’s breakout album. They’ve always done raw and emotional, and now they can add super personal on top of that. Should be the ingredients for a fantastic release!
So, who was the girl in that cypher video? Did they forget to let her rap?
The songs on the back half are pulling all the weight for me. Those first few were cheese city.
Yeah. Where are “The Twist” and “My Backwards Walk?”
Looks like Icona Pop loves Paris is Burning as much as I do. This video is great.
I really hated Congratulations at first, but eventually I grew to like it (maybe even better than Oracular Spectacular.) I also really hate the self titled so far, but maybe it will grow on me in the same way. Orrrrr, maybe it really is shit.
I’m glad that it picks up tempo in the middle, otherwise it might risk being something few MIA songs are- boring.
Hopefully Pitchfork gives it a solid review as well, and we can all come out as NIN fans again. *digs out Tripp pants and mascara from high school*
I am entirely impressed with how much breath she seems to have in her lungs. That was a mouthful.
This gave me a very OK Go vibe, which is not a bad thing!
Sufjan = Perfect Forever <3
Yeah, but how could anyone follow up “Bad Girls?” That was, like, the best video ever.
I’m too positive this album will be great.
I want to hand out with this crowd.
This Fall is shaping up real nice for releases. My end of the year list is already getting top heavy.
