It was actually just a little joke … but, I guess if someone had never read NME in the early to mid 2000′s it probably would miss the mark (hint: they really like The Libertines). Speaking of jokes, how is Local Natives not on there?

It’s been awhile since I’ve read NME, but I am quite surprised that The Libertines did not end up on the list somehow.
