The fact that they all voted to put this list together makes it less surprising. I didn’t really feel Bon Iver (at all) but know I’m in the minority. Definitely agree with Clay Graham up there, Fleet Foxes is probably my favorite album since 2007/In Rainbows. Here’s my list – 125 Songs and 50 Albums.

I mean they are my favorite band and I support just about everything they do but Vampire Diaries? Gotta be better T.V.-related offers on the table than this. Oh well. Hard to argue with making easy money. If I were they, I’d probably do the same. Maybe Yim Yames is a vampire himself.
Please tell me this isn’t true.

Still plenty of bands to fill every day. Won’t be making it, think I’m gonna save it for ACL which sounds like it could be a real winner this Fall –

I really like the album. I haven’t really gotten too into the Strokes so kind of listening in a vacuum. Some really great songs on here regardless of the band’s chemistry or recording process. I love Macchu Picchu too.
Good to see Janelle Monae ranked so high. Surprised that the new Preservation Hall Jazz Band album hasn’t gotten more love in the indie.sphere with all of the special guests and what not. Here’s a Top Albums list with an unpopular pick at #1.

If Atlas Sound maintains the rate of releases from last week, we can expect somewhere in or around the ballpark of 208 new albums from Bradford in 2011…and one Deerhunter album. I’m alright with that.

Bradford Cox is the new Lil Wayne/Ryan Adams fountain of prolificness
Gorillaz all over the best songs and albums…

Huge year in 2010 and sounds like even more to come in 2011.
do agree though that a lot of albums take 6-7 listens to “sink in”. Not seeing that as the case here.
I loved Because of the Times and listened to this new one 3x. Think I’m done trying here.

It’s just not very good.

Nice list. Would add MGMT w/ Bradford Cox dressed as Joey Ramone doing Pink Floyd’s Lucifer Sam on Jimmy Fallon.
