and i think the guy you reply to listed some of his favorite “smash your face bands” and then said “i also enjoy” seperating sufjan and iron and wine from the ohter bands to show some of the bands he thought showed musical merit that were not “smash your face noise bands”.

okay so let me start this off by saying i really liked vecktimest, it was a eally good album, but i think that grizzly bear is a band that deals primarily in an atmospheric sound that focuses more on textures, and then infuses melodys into that atmosphere, (much like animal collective).
that kind of atmospheric music is not going to be for everyone, i happen to enjoy it, but i can see how some do not.
