You should truly change your photo to anything besides a picture of yourself....true gomer.
I'm absolutely obsessed with nearly everything Yorke/Radiohead have ever done....that said, this is worthless.
As usual for most music videos: 1) Amazing song 2) Shitty video 3) What's the point?
"I don't like Carter IV because Weezy is nothing without his purple drank and me supplying the hook." -Drake (also slowly deteriorating in quality)
Maybe my comparison to U2 was a little random. I try to bash them any chance I get because this world needs to be rid of Bono. What I was trying to get at is that Coldplay's sound seems to be going in the direction of a band simply worried about playing amphitheaters and appealing to everyone. Now instead of writing beautiful, real lyrics that made you feel what Chris Martin was evoking (whether good or bad), we get bullshit about waterfalls and rainbows. They have completely sold out, and no longer have a dynamic sound. I agree with imasquare that their music is uninspired and "watered-down." Kind of like the last few albums U2 frontman Boner has released.
Some of the songs are decent on this album, but I don't see why these guys are blowing up. The only people who should really love them are New Yorkers, whom I don't typically enjoy either.
This CD is going to be my new favorite during post-blunt situations. Palamo must be on acid 24/7...
Decent songs, but what happened to all the bangers on his first record. He seems to want to create a new style of music known as rap lullabies. I want shit that can blow out my car speakers!
I used to be the biggest Coldplay supporter around (even after the 40-year-old-virgin made it even more uncool to like). Then, Viva la Vida came out and my confidence in them to put out stellar records waivered. I liked that they experimented with their sound and found many tracks to still be enjoyable. Now, after sampling five to six songs on this tracklist, I feel they have taken a large step back. This CD is trying to be U2, which is the greatest insult I personally, can throw anyone's way. I'm just going to keep listening to Parachutes and Rush of Blood to the Head instead.
These guys can do no wrong, but the premise and lyrics of this song are rather silly. Lyrics aside, still a great song to accompany some hippie lettuce.
I enjoy the diversity on this disc, however, my favorite tracks are the ones that sound as if they could have been on the last album. "Just a Song" and "Jamie Marie" are my current favorites. Can't wait to give it repeat listens....Connor Oberst ain't got shit on Chris Owens.
