I’m a little cynical about Drew. I hate the fact that I like him too. It bothers me that he displays this on television. It’s not like Intervention, which is more of a documentary of what is going on. This is more like putting people on a freak show for everyone to see. I have to admit in a really guilty way I like the show. But it’s not because I think it’s helping anyone. I don’t see any of these peoples’ problems. They focus on the drama between castmates. On Intervention they focus on the problem, what it is doing to the person’s life and their family. On CR it’s just entertainment for entertainment’s sake.
Dr. Drew has always been a celebrity doctor, so I won’t try to assume that he’s something he isn’t. And he’s banked on that a lot. I’ve never really seen him “help” people in the way that other doctors on television have helped others–those like Sanjay Gupta, or counselors such as those on Intervention. If Dr. Drew actually showed results and his show was less about the dram and more about the therapy, people would probably respect his practice a lot more. Not to mention it would be more interesting.

Yanno, just because a person did any sort of drugs, drank, or acted a certain way at shows doesn’t mean they deserve to die. Get a sense of fucking morality you assholes. I wasn’t a fan of the guy’s music, but it’s a shocker and very sad when a person dies young. Even if someone has mental instability they don’t deserve to die.
