Comments from nickysix

I saw this a couple of weeks ago and I LOVED it. Like some of the other commenters, I also became pretty evangelical about it to my friends, and a couple of them actually listened to me and they loved it too! I know that art is subjective and all that, but if you don't like Safety Not Guaranteed, I think you might be dead inside.

Oh wow - I did not notice this episode get posted - thank you for alerting me! I find KP completely obnoxious, but he has some great guests (HAMM, Huebel & Scheer, Thompkins, Adam much goodness). I shall now enjoy the McHale deliciousness.

I know this show is based on a graphic novel or comic book or whatever, but was it written in the last few years? Because I was totally convinced after last night that the racist was based on Mel Gibson. There were subtle clues: Excessive use of N-word (is any use not excessive? Doubtful) Use of "Sugartits" (Do anyone besides Mel Gibson and people imitating Mel Gibson use this phrase?) Character name = Merle Dixon. Say it fast. Alternate it with Mel Gibson. Alternate them rapidly. Conclusion - Michael Rooker is playing Mel Gibson in a zombie apocalpse show on AMC. You can't argue with science.

100% agree. I think i re-wound about 3 or 4 times before moving on. Also agree with everyone who loves John Mulhaney. I don't even watch Mad Men and I loved that bit.

RE: Eric escaping the cement - I think that it was implied that Pam got him out - she was complaining about not being able to get the cement out of her hair. It wasn't explicitly stated, but that's what I'm going with. Sookie/fairy cliffhanger was just ridiculous. Who gives a shit? And was that a chandelier that looked like a spaceship or vice versa? Are they fairy aliens? Jesus I hate that whole thing so much, and same goes for Jason as the new king of the idiots. I don't know why I'm so willing to accept vampires, wereworlves and witches, yet werepanthers and fairies are too much, but that's how it be. But, Hoyt and Jessica and Lafayette and Jesus will bring me back for season 4, so I'd better just learn to ignore the other parts, or start using the fast forward button on the remote.

Dazed and Confused was his twin brother Jason. Let's not sully the good name of one of history's greatest stoner movies with this horrible drug related story. Crack is whack, grass is class, or something. Jeremy was in Party of Five and Mallrats, and according to imdb, has a shocking 10 movies coming out this year. Impressive, under the circumstances.

Yeah sadly, I can attest that this show isn't fake - I was on it! These clips seem to be from a few years before I was there (1984 I think) because the hosts look a little younger. Let me tell you - this shit did NOT go down when I was there, thank jeebus! I did apparently insult Fergie Ferg because I was asked how tall I thought Dudley Moore was, and I said "about as tall as Fergie" which got a HUGE laugh from his co-host Catherine, who said "Fergie's about 5'7, in his heels!". Fergs was not impressed with my answer. Moms and i totally lost the game because the sneaky witch sitting next to me cheated like a mofo. But I saved the best tidbit for last - his co-host was also his WIFE, and they later had a hugely nasty divorce. Wonder if any of this creeptastic behaviour had anything to do with that.
