Everyone keeps bringing up older bands “relevancy” or lack there of. Does anybody care if the songs actually sound good? I realize that Rolling Stone thinks that it needs to give older acts 5 stars simply because they’re still putting out records that aren’t literally of them shitting into a microphone, but if the songs sound good, I think that makes them legitimate. I didn’t care for U2 this year, to be completely honest, and feel that Rolling Stone gave them the top spot simply because they’re fucking U2. That doesn’t mean U2 aren’t capable of making “relevant” music, or even good music. It’s just a poor album (in my opinion). Nothing more.
But he’s punishing the entire (large) paying audience for a single asshole. Kick out the one douche bag and keep playing for the others there to see you.
Not saying that it was “right’ to throw something at him, but watch any interview and you’ll see that Morrissey thinks he’s the second coming. It’s a rock concert; shit happens. People payed lots of money to see you. Sing your fucking songs.

I’m just not sure why everyone complains about Paste and who it caters to, yet still takes stock in its lists and who it chooses to like. It makes no sense to me. It’s not a magazine that covers hardcore underground grindcore hillbilly rap or some shit. It is what it is, and it covers what it covers.

Does anyone else get a slight Sufjan vibe? I think it’s a pretty decent song.
