I mentioned it on the last post but I really like the Holy Ghost! album. Probably my favorite “dance – centric” album of the year thus far. Just curious if anyone else got into that one as well. I think, taking both lists together, we’ve got a pretty good snapshot of 2011. Still haven’t listened to the Yuck or Cults albums…

I loved Meteonomy’s last record. So far “The Look” and “She Wants” are the tracks that have stood out (I haven’t given it proper attention – it’s been background music on bike rides). What are your favorite songs on The English Riviera? Has it been a “grower” for you?
I love list season. We’ll never all agree on a list but at least we can bond over our mutual disapproval of Lady Gaga’s inclusion. Still haven’t checked out Fucked Up or the new Arctic Monkeys album. Worth a listen?
I’m sure lots of people have done it before… some better, some worse. I like it in the context of THIS song. I’m impressed by the whole track not just the end of it.
Really impressed! The percussive “freak out” at the end of the track easily supplants any sonic moment on Volta. This whole album/project/app(?) sounds very ambitious…
Like it. Almost makes me feel better about working on Saturday… Love the bass tone and the xylophone is a nice touch. Chorus is great.
I keep forgetting about the King of Limbs… I’ve been meaning to revisit it again. Has anyone’s opinion of the album changed over time? Curious to know if anyone else has let it fall out of their consciousness…
