Solange Knowles is the Jim Belushi of music.

Of Montreal really lost me.

I guess nothing happened in music today.

I like it, but is the whole album gonna be werewolf themed?

I don’t think that Billy is necessarily the nicest person.

I wish television was still like that. Instead of every show living and dying by their format.

I hope it’ll be available at an EP price.

Kanye West is the Kanye West of fag music.

I’m a fan of both bands. I don’t know why Smith would care so much about how other bands release their work, but you hipsters need to acknowledge that the Cure is relevant in the sense that they’ve been around since 1979, they’ve made some great albums/songs and they’re at a point where they can release albums and go on tours until they decide to retire. I’ve never understood why it becomes cool to shit on bands when the members get to be your parents age. They paved the way for a ton of the bands you call “innovative” today.

Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head? WTF?

If someone gives themself the name “Legend” are they a.) Under the delusion that they are legendary. b.) Asking to be ridiculed. c.) A motherfucking jackass. Or d.) All of the above.

Sorry for speaking in layman’s terms, I wasn’t aware that Stereogum was intended for intellectual debates. I wasn’t insinuating that there was only three levels of quality, you made that leap on your own while reading my post. But, wouldn’t you agree that a 9.6 rating could be considered “great”?

In response to Cactus, I agree that Bee Thousand doesn’t compare to Rubber Soul, I just threw it out there because I’m a big GbV fan. But, I still believe the a collection of Robert Pollard’s worst songs would still sound better than MPP, but maybe I should give it a 4th listen.

Gosh….

Am I the only one who’s embarrassed by what this generation considers “great”? Animal Collective are far from awful but they’re also far from great. Can you really compare this album to albums like Rubber Soul, Doolittle or Bee Thousand?
