Well a cursory listen to his album suggests that he doesn't really smoke.
I heard "A Different City" in a skateboarding video in middle school and Isaac Brock has provided the soundtrack to my life ever since. Thanks for the list. I'm always perplexed that "Edit the Sad Parts" isn't talked about more. It's on Interstate 8 and is absolutely a landmark song for them, the silent ending speaking volumes about Isaac's ideology at the time. LCW deserves its spot at #1 though. If you haven't, watch this wonderful documentary on the album: bit.ly/KG8PuK
I was prepping my "no Equestrian?!?!" whiny-asshole comment only to be so pleasantly surprised by its place at number one. Touche, 'gum.
This is great. I would have expected Madvillainy to be the unanimous #1 in this debate, but it's great to see Vaudeville Villain and Operation: Doomsday get their dues amongst the others. "It's how son became a big man from a Black Boy/ To name names, a really big fan of Dan Akroyd."
on a rainy Friday afternoon at work this song is about as good as it gets.
X playing Los Angeles?! On the same stage as Fucked Up and OFF?! Sweet merciful crap that is amazing. Now all we need is a scheduled ego-maniacal breakdown by Danzig.
Steve Powers making the album art for DOOM is the hip hop equivalent to Pettibon's work for Black Flag. Absolutely perfect.
oh yeah, and they recorded it live.
Dio was in the slide-rule club.
