Would have been a lot better if Kendrick didn't snarl the whole damn time. I think Kendrick has been trying too hard to sound REALLY INTENSE AND PASSIONATE lately, at least between this and the Imagine Dragon remix.

You want Cudi to stop smoking weed so he can make something more similar to Day N Nite which featured a chorus where Cudi calls himself a "lonely stoner". wat Cudi is one of those guys who needs boundaries and people guiding his visions. That's why his work on the first two MOTM's is so great and WZRD, Indicud and now Satellite Flight are so disappointing. Emile and Plain Pat streamlined Cudi on both of those first two records but he threw off the shackles on the later stuff so he's free to do whatever he wants, and with someone like Cudi, who is super creative but also has some deep-seeded issues and isn't necessarily the most stable individual, that means you're gonna get albums like Indicud where it seems like you could cut basically four tracks out and you have 9 minute songs featuring Michael Bolton.

He didn't perform the whole album, just Gangsta, Collard Greens, What They Want, Hoover Street, Studio, The Purge, Blind Threats, Break the Bank, Yay Yay and Man of the Year. And he did Banger, Druggys wit Hoes Again (with Ab-Soul! featuring Q calling Soul Stevie Wonder), There He Go, Blessed and Nightmare on Figg St. Still a really nice performance. Hard to remain interesting when you're just going over a backing track, but Q is a really entertaining performer.

Not that what Macklemore said was right but the guy is in the weird position of literally not being able to say anything without pissing people off at this point. Some people seem to start fuming as soon as they even see him.

By the Way is a fantastic album. I think Stadium has its moments but as this point they're basically just a touring band that can occasionally still put out some decent songs.
