well (if anybody comes back to read this), mitch hurwitz has been saying all over the Internet that this season is intended as act one of an eventual movie. so maybe it's intentionally that way? if all we're looking at right now is Act One, it makes sense to have mostly setup and no resolution.
guess who showed up at 11:15, as predicted, and caught r2d2 and flw on their way out of an otherwise empty room?? your friendly union hall door girl, that's who. we did NOT figure it out!
Gah - is it really going to end at 11pm? Your friendly Union Hall door girl who works in Park Slope til 1030 would like to know! Party like a grown-up, Videogum! You're 4! Stay out til midnight!!
maybe it was just because leslie gave him that pep talk that ended with ordering him to 'buck up'?
it's not for child care, it's for pre-school! they're entering into that super-competitive world of urban rich parents trying to get their kid into pre-school where you basically have to start before they're born. there was an episode of party down about that, remember? and also an amy sedaris movie last year that almost nobody saw even though it also had john hodgman in it but was somehow not so great. anyway will arnett even jokes about it, something about how she is 'like, zero years old'. you're welcome
aw. rut roh.
1) i had those tmnt slippers!! aw. where are those slippers i want them back! 2) my brother and i used to love tmnt so much, and we always reenacted their fights with some orange plastic nunchucks we had, but my mom finally decided it was getting TOO REAL (maybe she knows these guys?!) and from then until i was 12 years old i was not allowed to watch anything else on TV except for PBS. 3) lol at the poor guy who so obviously just loves vanilla ice and michael jackson chocolate, but wants so bad to fit in with his cool christian friends.
guys, did you notice josh groban was in crazy, stupid, love?? and he was ok!!
i also love a lot of the new features - agree that 'a friendly chat' is a great new 'friday fight', appreciate the afternoon links, etc. One that i don't love as much are the weekly movie trailer posts. i really liked it when once in a while one movie trailer was highlighted, because then i paid special attention to that one and more than once saw a movie JUST because its trailer was discussed here. but when it's five trailers a week or whatever, that value is diminished, and i tend to just not read that feature at all, because i see plenty of trailers in theaters anyway and also i'd actually rather not see a trailer if i already know i'm interested in a movie because i like to be as surprised as possible - BUT then that means that if you're ever highlighting a particularly exciting one, chances are i'll probably miss out on that, which makes me sad. what a silly thing to complain about! more trampoline accidents please.
choke zero!!!(?)! (i'll see myself out)
can i point out that i also think i have a problem with the timeline of this story? this lady was on her way to work in the morning, which is peak hours so i bet her train was running every 5-6 mins. so like EVEN IF that brief stop to glare at a celebrity driver who almost hit you caused you to miss your train, you'll catch the next one in let's say 6 minutes. and you're claiming that 6 minute gap is the difference it took between missing the planes totally hitting the towers? if she'd gotten off 6 minutes before, she would have been settled down in her office sipping coffee and in danger of getting smashed, but 6 minutes later, not even to the towers yet - 'by the time she got to work, the first plane had hit the World Trade Center'? what i'm saying is that even if gwyneth claims full responsibility for making this lady miss her train, i still don't think that warrants saying her life was saved because of that. i think this lady would have had to have missed 2 or 3 trains for this to make sense at all. i rest my case.
not a single mention of mark duplass! i even ctrl+f'ed the comments (is what she robo-said?). i love mark duplass and he was nice in this. there, now somebody said it.
you said "joe mchale" twice (in the text and in the tags!) so that i clicked that link just to see if joel had a brother or something? turns out nope, you just seem to really think his name is joe, but i'm glad i clicked anyway because that was TBS fairly funny!
i would just like to upvote this post as a whole. can i do that? like i don't really have anything to add, just, i'm glad these are back, keep 'em coming. upvote!
or Jay Mower even. i'm determined to perfect this Jay Mohr reference!
just as long as she leaves her mom and best friend at home this time.
