Last month, the back-from-maternity-leave Lily Allen scored a UK #1 with her cover of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" and started a shitload of arguments with her attempted feminist anthem "Hard Out Here." Today, she drops another new single, and it's the closest that the resurgent Allen has come to the cheeky, tossed-off sparkle-pop of her second album, if not the organic glimmer of her still-great debut. "Air Balloon," which Allen co-wrote with the Swedish pop producer Shellback, is a fundamentally light and goofy whistle-pop track. Give it a listen below.
