Last night, reigning MVP Steph Curry went absolutely nuts, leading his Golden State Warriors to a victory and a 3-2 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Metallica are hometown legends in the Warriors' Bay Area. And before the game, guitarists James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett showed up to play a heavy, wheedly instrumental version of "The Star-Spangled Banner." It's pretty funny to see NBA players looking solemn while these two goofballs riff away. And Hetfield's gray-on-black Warriors shirt is a thing that I would like to own. Watch the video below.

Just this year, Metallica have already gotten the royal treatment from the San Francisco Giants and the San Jose Sharks. It's up to the 49ers to complete the circle now.
