Kanye West Says The CD Is Dead, He Isn’t Making Any More

This doesn't particularly come as a surprise. Kanye West famously released his new album The Life Of Pablo last month as nothing other than a Tidal stream, claiming it would never be commercially available. But today on Twitter, West made it Twitter-official: The CD is dead, and he's not going to mess around with the format anymore. He also says that the blank-CD packaging of his 2013 album Yeezus was "an open casket" for the format. Here's how he puts it:
