Mothers – “Copper Mines” Video

The oblique Atlanta guitar-rockers Mothers, a recent-vintage Band To Watch, came out with their debut album When You Walk A Long Distance You Are Tired earlier this year, and they’ve just shared the video for the twisty, dynamic “Copper Mines.” The clip is a sort of live-action cartoon, starring an extremely happy young man with no regard for his own well-being. Director Ryan Ohm gives the video its own alien logic, and it’s a nice example of how a band can come up with a memorable vision on a limited budget, as well as a reminder of why you need someone to drive you home from the dentist. Check it out below.

When You Walk A Long Distance, You Are Tired is out now on Grand Jury in the US and Wichita in the UK.
