Sky Ferreira Discusses Sexist Article: “I’m Not A Think Piece”

Last week, LA Weekly ran an aggressively stupid piece about Sky Ferreira that was way more about her perceived sexiness than it was about her music. The second sentence in the entire fucking thing was this: "Both Sky and Madonna have similar breasts in both cup size and ability to cause a shitstorm." Not long afterward, the newspaper ran an apology from the music editor that was almost as dumb. (I'm not linking either one, but you can find them easily enough on your own if you want.) Plenty of other writers have already weighed in about this bullshit. And now, in a long string of tweets, so has Ferreira herself. Ferreira points out that she shouldn't even have to comment about how ridiculous this is but that she doesn't want anyone to think that she's weak or compliant. And she also writes that she reads comments like these about herself altogether too often. Below, read everything Ferreira wrote on Twitter.
