Since Vampire Weekend put out Modern Vampires Of The City in 2013, its members have focused on pursuing their own projects: Rostam Batmanglij left the band completely to focus on his solo career and a forthcoming Hamilton Leithauser collaboration; Chris Baio put the moves on his long-standing project Baio and released a full-length, The Names; Ezra Koenig has been busy politicking and cozying up with Beyoncé; and now drummer Chris Tomson has announced that he's going to be releasing a solo album under the name Dams Of The West. It's called Youngish American and was produced by the Black Keys' Patrick Carney. Listen and watch a video for new track "Death Wish" via Pitchfork below.
