Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins and producer Nick Raskulinecz have teamed up to record a cover of Rush's "2112 Overture" that will be featured on an upcoming 2112 40th anniversary boxset. They previously covered the same track live before at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony in 2013 when Rush were inducted. The studio version of the track debuted on a recent episode of The Strombo Show where the band's Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson were interviewed, and you can listen to it at the 46-minute mark via NME below.

The 2112 reissue is out 12/16.
