Earlier this year, Margaret Glaspy released her sophomore album, Devotion. A couple weeks ago, she shared a cover of Big Thief’s Capacity song “Mythological Beauty” and said that she’d be spending quarantine posting covers of songs that inspired the writing process of her latest album.

So far, she’s also done songs by Ray Lamontagne and Bill Withers, and today, she’s released a cover of Sade’s enduring 2000 track “By Your Side,” which has had a very long history of covers in the two decades since it was released.
