Now, Ben Folds has been revealed as the producer and music director for an upcoming Off-Broadway one-woman musical called We've Been Here Before, and he'll be performing in it as well.
Written by and starring his frequent collaborator Lindsey Kraft (Grace And Frankie, The Shrink Next Door), the production follows a 40-year-old woman going through a midlife "awakening," which includes a sudden urge to become a songwriter while fostering a relationship with a secret online confidant, per Playbill.
The performances are slated for August 4 to 17 at the SoHo Playhouse. Meanwhile, Ben Folds recently shared an urgent open letter about the fate of the National Symphony Orchestra following his resignation as Artistic Advisor.
