Not exactly trickery, but a really cool concept that weirds out the brain. I like it a lot. Hot Chip does some good things with their videos.
Umm, Coldplay has 4 songs in the top 100, which tops the 6-way tie.
I'm proud of you for being so ahead of the curve. Will you teach me?
You say these selections are "predictable." If they are so predictable, why do you seem so incredulous that they were chosen? "Oh my goodness, the masses picked exactly what you'd expect them to! I can't believe it!" So the average stereogum user doesn't share your exact taste in music. If you've spent time around here, you likely knew that already. NOBODY HAS THE EXACT SAME TASTE IN MUSIC AS YOU. If everybody did, you'd probably think that was lame, and shift your own tastes so you could continue bitching about how you can't believe everyone picked the most predictable stuff out there.
It may be English, but my brain is trained to only hear sounds that resemble English yet aren't when it hears jonsi's voice. So I really cannot tell it's English.
I agree wholeheartedly. I keep trying to figure out what he's mouthing. "Have some!! And release." is my best guess.
I am. Totally and completely.

In a world where Volkswagens run rampant and bruised arms are a fact of life, one man takes it upon himself to fight back against the tyranny of those who see every Beetle before he does. See Jason Statham in: PUNCH BUGGY
He had no reason to get anyone, until someone got him first. Now he's on a mission. You'd better run. Next summer, see the flick everyone will be chasing after. TAG This time, there's no tag backs.
Sarcasm is more effective when you don't misspell two-letter words.
Feist: 125 M.I.A.: 103, 54, AND 22 Mountain Goats: 102 AND 176 Okkervil River: 174 Read sometime. It's a fun thing to do.
And remember when they didn't actually stop making Beanie Babies in the 21st century but practically everyone stopped buying them anyway and the craze stopped almost immediately because of that stupid attempt to raise hype backfired?
I'm quite sure it was the best song of the night at the Milwaukee show, although there were many moments that challenged it. It was simply outstanding.
Detroit. I'll take these odds.
