So what! All parties are marketing themselves, even Microsoft pays a tribute to Arcade Fire by valuing its asthetic so much as to use in its own self promotion and therefore promotes Arcade Fire to a broader audience. Everybody wins. Values around copyright really amaze me in the online sphere. As if there is some kind of sanctity in not appropriating, when there are endless means to do so, that we all love to use. Its too late for the notion of the original, it died with the invention of the copy in mass production- from the original handmade to the Gutenburg press copy in the 15th C. The revolution is now that nothing is absolute and no one owns anything.
