I had the chance to see him a few years back and he did tell a large amount of stories. But they're stories from B.B. KING, so I gladly shut up and listened.
What bothers me about this list isn't necessarily that tracks like "Smells Like Teen Spirit" or "Heart Shaped Box" were left off, but that the only real explanation we're given is "Nirvana recorded better ones."
This doesn't have to be an all-time "classic Wu-banger" to be a great track. If you're going to automatically compare this to '36 Chambers' or 'Liquid Swords' or 'OB4CL' of course it's not going to measure up. But it's three of the best from the Wu going in over a nice clattering soul beat. The hook is an afterthought sure, but it doesn't drag on for long.
I don't really know if "Drunk in Love" in particular took steps forward for feminism. It's more the album as a whole if anything, and if you want to single out any of them: "Flawless", "Heaven" and "Blue" all come to mind before that one.
Also cannot help but think of the Band when I think of this. Especially something with a little more of a groove to it like "Up on Cripple Creek".

One point I would make, when Seeger stood before HUAC in 1955 he refused to plead the Fifth and argued instead that he would not answer any questions on the grounds that it would violate his First Amendment rights. Which I think in its own way speaks to how tireless of a campaigner he was for free speech.
R.I.P. Pete, it's been good to know you.
I hate to nitpick, but I think that Future part in "Nothing But Some Pain" is a sample from "Honest" because Future uses the line for the hook in that song. Regardless, it's a phenomenal tune.
Tom already covered this almost a year ago in the his write-up for "1017 Thug".

Can't help but think of Dinosaur Jr. and Built to Spill when I hear this. Little flecks of Sadie's warble reminds me of Doug Martsch and that guitar squalor owes at least a little back-rent to Dino.
Chris Klimek wrote a great article about this very topic: http://www.npr.org/blogs/monkeysee/2013/11/27/247492164/why-are-bruce-springsteens-album-covers-so-ugly
