Came here to second this. What a track. I honestly haven't been crazy about any of this new stuff so far, but Holiday Party... damn man.
Letter To You is so good. "Janie Needs a Shooter"? C'mon man, that song has no right sounding as good as it does all these years later. Gives me chills every time. I revisit Western Stars much less so I hope he doesn't go back in that direction, but I won't complain about new Bruce.
Ha! I just watched Knives Out for the first time this weekend. I loved it! Such a fun movie. I'm sure the sequel will be cool and Janelle will be great in it.
Well said. I would’ve maybe put Saint Cecelia as the penultimate track. I’m really digging the album though. It feels like their “Let It Be” (Mats version). Dropping a jaunty song like Drink the Rain in the middle of the album is a very Replacements move. But yeah overall, it ain’t a AOTY lock, but it’s still damn good and might end up there in my book come December.
TL;DR Young man, there's no need to feel down.
Why? Seems harmless.
Didn’t eddies backing band include members of White Reaper or something?
I knew you would have the correct take
Appreciate you guys working hard and dealing with our nonsense
All these comments and not one opinion about Tom Wilson? (Hartford The Whale/Loud Noises knows what I’m talking about)
I miss the old Coldplay. I honestly do.

This is honestly such a cool concept. I love the approach, like how it sounds as if you are sitting around a campfire with (really talented) friends. I'm going to enjoy spending many a warm summer night drinking to this record. Looking forward to the Iceage album this week. I was hoping it would be AOTW but alas!
This is a good point.
Aside from songs like "Tony the Tiger," and "The Gold," I haven't been interested too much in this band to sit through a whole album. But after reading this, I'll definitely check this new one. The singles all sound great. That video for for Telepath got me in tears, not to mention the song is absolutely lovely.
Well, it ain't 1974 anymore. Just roll with it, you beautiful bastard you!
