Even still, I like watching this show on my stupid big TV! The show is gorgeous! I will just file these recaps away and make comments on them several months from now. It'll be like a time capsule.
Hm, I actually can't find this on the PBS website or through Netflix Instant... I enjoy these recaps, but I also enjoy watching this series on my TV rather than my computer. Any chance you'd delay this until it's more accessible?
Wow that amusing to read because I really feel like Mad Men is a soap opera with high production values. Everyone looks great, dresses in nice clothes, works in the same place, and fucks around. I watched the first season and could not understand the mass praise.
I just got home from seeing it. I can't believe that was all in the first book. The movie seems to rush through the actual Hunger Games part... All but 4 or 5 of the tributes are killed off screen, I think. It felt like the director really copped out! No one had any meaningful dialogue except for Katniss and Woody Harrellson and Katniss' boyfriend in the first 5 minutes.
In short, I felt the movie should have been longer or split into two full movies. Both halves wfeltre under-examined by this rendition.
Ooh and the one about the conjoined twins with Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear was DELIGHTFUL. Not a joke. That movie really surprised me. I think it was called Stuck on You.
I enjoyed the Psychic Awards show sketch... No one has mentioned it. Did I imagine it? Did everyone dislike that sketch? It was goofy and fun and short!
Sincerely, though, that IS a good gag. The flare is gone at Fridays. The bell is gone. It's been blanderized to look like every other chain bar-restaurant hybrid.
The title was an allusion to saving your last bullet for suicide! Then Shane pulls the reverse non-suicide HOMICIDE move on Taylor Pruitt Vince! Tricky guy!
