The ironic thing is that any person that would sit and watch and listen to what is being said probably is not the target audience of this PSA. Some asshole is gonna be like "Oh cool James Bond, Oh WAIT WOMEN TALKING!! MUTE MUTE MUTE!!!" Message unsuccessful, people.
My 15 year old cousin (seriously, why are these kids STILL watching Disney?!) is probably going to try and reject Miley Cyrus after watching this SNL, but I so want to tie her to a chair and yell "No you don't! You helped create this creature, now you're stuck with it!" Not sure why the chair is needed, I think I've just been looking for an excuse to tie her to anything because she is a shitty kid.
And while I am a diehard strokes fan, I will say that their insistance to look and sound off in public (TV performances) is pretty unnecessary at this point. You've made it this far without being played out on the radio, The Strokes, I think it's safe to say you can relax now. Also, I'll see you in Vegas this weekend: don't screw it up, Julian!
Wait, so you mean to tell me Gabe DOESN'T already own a company-provided-strictly-for-business ipad??
Seriously? He needs one. What if his genius strikes him in the middle of a new york city subway ride?! Always be having an ipad!

I just want everyone who may or may not read this to know they're about to scroll down through one of the best collection of GIFs ever on Videogum. Dear god, long live this Paula Deen moment, and god bless these amazingly creative Monsters. I could cry.
Enjoy

I don't wanna steal the lexy or stephany thunder or anything, but I wish I had those kind of production values around when I was young (yesterday).

I mean that I will be stuck somewhere else, "celebrating" my 21st over a formal dinner with family, when I'd rather be meeting strangers at a bowling alley. that seems like a much funner way of spending your 21st birthday. I need to check when these gatherings are made more often, so i don't get stuck with prior engagements when I hear about them. I might also want to try and avoid making "prior engagements" in the future, because they just sound pretentious and boring. woeisme.
enjoy the lanes though!
Damnit. I turn 21 this weekend and everything too. It's a crappy feeling to know this will be happening like 12 miles from where I'll be -sans bowling ball, karoake machine, videogum monsters, or friends.
sad.
Really? Street Sharks?
I want this to be as creepy as possible: Where are you and will you marry me?

I should preface what I'm about to say with a "Congratulations!" and a "Great G.O.B!" to our three guest bloggers (I know I'm not close to the inner circle of videogum monsters, but I do feel particularly excited to hear something like "thisismynightmare will be guest blogging". It's awesome stuff, and soft gabe and bradofarrell have also been spectacular at filling in and giving us an insight into their heads. Also the best of luck to Becca tomorrow, expect nothing but support from us) because it is deserved. Now to what I'm about to say:
I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to werttrew guest blogging on friday. http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/attachments/case-mods-worklog-gallery/10926d1278356325-keyboard-colour-scheme-painting-1x09-storming-castle-animated-gif-excited-buster-arrested-development-7915175-230-249.gif
Werttrew, your brain is like a maze to me. And I look forward to folding that maze in half and eating it like a sandwich

also, I'm new to this .gif thing, so sorry if i'm not being creative enough. Videogum monsters are intimidatingly witty.
This really is a genius program though. The British couldn't have made a smarter choice by being this british: Let's make fun of an American staple (superheroes) because that's what british people do (we make fun of things), except let's also make it completely different than anything else. How does one make a tv show about superheroes different? let's add sex and loads of curse words, because screw kids for sanitizing our super heroes. and bam! produced.
now let's all cross our fingers that America never makes a US version of it, because that would totally defeat the purpose of this show. like Totally.
Can I just say that I think it's awesome that you're married to a girl that willingly goes on Videogum? Where can I find these women in LA?
[Cue MadMen Style Dance Train of women]

So is this Bruce Willis' wax figure of himself, or is he just standing next to his wax figure of a head-waxer. Either way, somebody's got shitty taste in curtains.
Very well put Steve Winwood. I know that probable sounds condescending, and you're probably thinking "who the hell is this idiot?", but I mean it. I can honestly say that I laughed at that Don Draper-Vietnam collage back then, and I have no way of justifying how this instance would be any different. I guess it may have to do with me not being alive during Vietnam and subsequently feeling disconnected from it, but I think that for someone to joke about this Florida guy today would probably be wrong on many levels. I can't say I wouldn't snicker at a joke made, say, several months later, though. I guess I (and several other people) am a horrible human being, but I certainly am not the one committing these crimes.
I guess you can equate it to Police and Gallows humor? In the end, it is definitely something interesting you pointed out about several people (including myself). I was pretty gung-ho about everyone critiscizing this news coverage, but then I read what you said and am seriously having my doubts now -about several things.
Thanks.
Well to be fair, he does seem to have a full plate there with Community and the Soup. For one, you don't see Ryan Seacrest (assuming they're analogous in # of jobs) doing stand-up -or anything creative in general.
Gotta agree with you there DSN. Most nights Community usually produces just as many laughs as 30 Rock, but last night's laugh count leaned heavily on the 30 Rock side (this is how i rate my life experiences, in number of laughs). However, as Gabe often does, you gotta give Community the credit for being so ambitious. I thought it was a really well executed episode, and it played by its own rules of the claymation/group therapy/planet abed (unlike Inception). Also, i appreciated the fact that they didn't autocorrect the voices when they attempted to sing -it would have resulted in alot of Glee-esque "Oh, brother.."'s
Also, I should mention DSN, that I absolutely love your avatar. In fact, I made it my cell phone wallpaper a few weeks ago, before I dropped my RAZR into a puddle. on purpose. thank you.
Is it wierd that I wanted to see reaction videos of Steve Winwood and Notsewfast, just so I could see what they look like in real life? Am i crossing the line of what is acceptable? Reveal yourselves!!
Oh and I should probably mention that I found this on CNET. Wouldn't want to pull a Jay Leno/thatcomedianthatstolePattonOswalt'sjokes (I'm ashamed of myself for not remembering the reference and subsequently of my lack of commitment to sparkleVIDEOGUMmotion)
I have a question: Can we send suggestions to Gabe? I always see (thanks for the tip Mary), or others of the like, on the bottom of some of his posts. If so, I just thought this was pretty funny:
