I've read all over the place that cases like this are rarely ever won, but you know what? I'm glad Neil did it if for no reason than as a matter of principle. Hey Cheeto, how does it feel to get sued by your favorite artist? Oh, that' right, nothing sticks to you narcissistic ass except for all that shit you eject through your sphincter.

Anyone wanna talk about that absolutely classic fake and cheesy cover art?

What an absolutely fantastic pick to start with. I liked Kiwi Jr. the moment I first heard them.

What a gracious lover you are bloc (meant affectionately) HA! My autocorrect changed "loser" to "lover" ... but hey, it's better this way, so leave it be.

Sure, but my point is that none of the ones I named release albums annually the way R.E.M. did until 1992.

Great point. I'd add that so many successful artists these days would beg to differ; Bon Iver, Tame Impala, Frank Ocean, Dr. Dre, ATCQ, MBV, Yo La Tengo, Deerhunter, Beach House, Fiona Apple, Gillian Welch, Sufjan Stevens, and on and on. BTW, by saying successful, I don't automatically mean great, but that's a different discussion for a different place.

Yup, same thing here in WDC. And they were all in top form. Good times indeed!

Agree w/ franciskeats. His "talking" here is what makes this so good. I mean, where else are you gonna hear Lou casually tell an audience member, "Give me an issue. I'll give you a tissue. You can wipe your ass with it." It's filled with grit and hilarity.

You just know we'll be reading his lame "non-apologetic" apology here in a few days when it sinks into his puny brain that he's not getting a pass here.

Nope. Born in 1963 and still can't stand it. Don't like the song, her agonizingly terrible voice, and the overstated melodrama of it all. It's a 0/10.

Wonder if side 2 might pick up in pace just a bit? That's quite OK if it doesn't. I'll take any Bill I can get in any form.

I don't get it at all. To me, this is one of the top 3 worst songs of the 80s. Yeah, no one asked me, but what kind of koolaid is everyone drinking on this one? My rating: "1" (if zero is not possible). Ughh!

Read "Please Kill Me" if you wanna check out more Lou madness. It wasn't for nothing that the authors consider him the godfather of punk.

Everything you said sounded great, until I got to your "7." Nah, Tom got this one absolutely right! It deserves to be considered one of the top 3 or so most iconic 80s synth-pop songs.

Ordinarily, no big deal if I get downvoted, but this? Whoever you are; I guess you like the thought of an illiterate billionaire with no sociopolitical knowledge being our leader? OK then, you can have him in your own little made-up fantasy world far far away from these United States (like maybe on Mars)?
