Oh no you didn't! I honestly can't agree with this list less. Of course I'm probably way off according to the next guy. Here is mine:
10. Guys Eyes
9. Grass
8. For Reverend Green
7. Also Frightened
6. Fireworks
5. Bluish
4. Peacebone
3. The Purple Bottle
2. Winter's Love
1. Banshee Beat
Immediately downloaded and started rockin it. Sweet idea. Stereogum is pumping out high quality content steady these days. I'm loving all the lists and features. Keep it coming.
DT. Proving that any attention is good attention since 1992.
That was a decent comment, pretty funny, but in general you are the second worst to rubberjohnny, god rest his hair.
I just think that it's so easy to see "them" as backwards because they have different customs than us. We're quite privileged in the western world and it is easy to point fingers at those in other countries who are almost always less privileged. A blanket statement of middle-east countries being backwards seems racist to me.
Granted, there is a lot wrong in some of these middle-east countries but what about here? Our consumerism is pretty disgusting, wouldn't you agree? I apologize if I offended anyone but we are not without our problems.
The titles of the articles are all semantics. The writing on stereogum is a medium for people to post opinions or annoying corrections, followed by snarky retorts.
Frank and Tyler together on a Channel Oragne physical album exclusive: http://www.nme.com/news/frank-ocean/64887
Lots of Frank, dash of Tyler. No opinion, I can't digest music this quickly.
"Shut Up, Dude" is awful. I know it, you know it, stereogum knows it. Consider this a desperate plea to kill off this feature. I know that it is comment and traffic fodder, but holy goodness it is masturabatory nonsense.
Siserworld consumed me. I loved it. I was a bit worried when I heard about sample based liars but all of the creepy sound trickery they are cooking up sounds like a natural evolution to me. I highly recommend checking out the sampling videos on their website.
This list is a great idea but it needs to be text with pics and links to recent stories. Please get whoever codes the website to make it happen. It looks amateurish as it is and limits the clicks you're getting. This site runs on ads I'm sure... you need those clicks.
@Tom Sproat. Yuck on the battles inclusion at the top of your list. I loved their first album dearly. I saw them perform during their tour for gloss drop. It was awful. They're a different beast with Tyondai gone.
There is a little error here. The duck sauce everywhere links to Lykke Li's website. I was interested where else this tune is showing up. Good post otherwise.
