Cecil Frena's The Gridlock
For the sake of adding to the discussion and not just piggybacking off some of the other great picks here (Spoon! Wild Beasts! Mac Demarco! Etc.), I'll say Adult Jazz's Gist Is.
Big is the only answer (because Hanks).
It's hard finding any big qualms with this list (although I woulda liked to see Deerhunter higher). Glad to see VW so high though, I had kinda written them off after Contra, but Modern Vampires of the City is just fantastic. As others have said Local Natives, Youth Lagoon, Baths, and Jai Paul all would have been at least in the discussion for me.
Some great picks videogumers. I could get behind Fargo, Eternal Sunshine, and Jackie Brown, but I'll try to throw different movies out there. Also It depends on how we are choosing to define "favorite." I could watch a movie like Big or Catch Me If You Can basically every day, but a movie like Children of Men, which i've seen 3 times, makes me think and feel like few movies have to this point.
Voted for Lace Curtains-The Garden Of Joy And The Well Of Loneliness despite it having less than 0 percent chance of winning. Hope Japandroids and Cloud Nothings get a nice voter turnout also.
Abbey Road is the one I have listened to the most so I'll choose that one.
You really think it's cool or you to hit the sauce with a bun in the oven?
"Lovefool," by The Cardigans would probably be the pick.
